Kehlsey is our Lab Director and began her career as a Dental Technician in Washington State in 2011. She attended school in Seattle and jumped straight into working in the Dental Laboratory Industry. Kehlsey found her true passion for restoring smiles and chose to advance her skills and career in 2022 by gaining certification from the National Association of Dental Laboratories in Tallahassee Florida. Shortly following, Kehlsey and her family decided to move across the country to sunny Florida and join the team at Lakeview Comprehensive Dentistry.
Since she was a child, Kehlsey has always been drawn to people’s smiles and has a genuine love for dentistry. Being an art lover as well, she found a way to blend the two fields together.
“Creating new smiles for patients is a great privilege I get to experience every day. This is life-changing for many and I consider it an honor to be a part of that experience for our patients. I enjoy sharing the true joy of a new smile with patients as well.”
When she is not in the lab, Kehlsey loves spending leisure time with her family and friends and loving on her animals at home.
Patricia was born in Oak Park, Illinois and transitioned with her family to Sumter County, Florida in 1983. As a child in school, she took art classes and found this was a great way to express herself. Patricia began her career as a dental laboratory technician in 1994. It wasn’t until working as a dental ceramist that she realized creating people’s smiles was a form of artistic expression. While working in the laboratory, she realized she had a passion for the artistry of creating smiles. In 2001, Patricia gained her National Certification in Ceramics and continued to master her skill set within the laboratory. Patricia soon earned a promotion to Fixed Department Manager, where she gained valuable knowledge of all facets of the dental laboratory. Patricia has taken many courses throughout her career to continue her knowledge of the craft in the ever-changing world of dental technology.
Patricia joined the team at Lakeview Comprehensive Dentistry with nearly 30 years of experience. She has noticed a significant difference working in a dental practice verses working in an off site dental laboratory. She is now able to see, first hand, the positive impact that can be made in transforming a smile and is loving the experience of celebrating WITH her patients.
In her free time Patricia enjoys kayaking, motorcycle riding, fishing and spending time outdoors. Family and friends are an important aspect of her life. Patricia is a proud Boston Terrier mom to Walter, continuing the family tradition of Boston Terrier ownership.
