More than you'd expect...
Dr. Pruett grew up in Lake County, graduating from Mt. Dora High School in 1995. He then attended Marshall University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree Majoring in Chemistry, while also playing football for the Thundering Herd. Dr. Pruett went on to complete his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. During his time at the UFCD program Dr. Pruett received awards for outstanding performance in the science of Occlusion and Temporomandibular Joint Function, Dental Implantology, Leadership and Professional Conduct, Dental Laboratory Technology and Patient Care in Prosthodontics.
While in private practice Dr. Pruett has continued his educational commitment by training at the prestigious Pankey Institute, completing their entire series of continuums. These continuums include the advanced study of Occlusion (the way teeth fit together), the Temporomandibular Joints (jaw joints), Facial Musculature (specifically muscles associated with jaw movement), Patient Management (focused on relationship building and anxiety management), and Aesthetics (with an emphasis on natural beauty).
Dr. Pruett is a member of the Lake County Dental Society, Central Florida District Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Pruett proudly represents the Lake County Dental Society as a Delegate to the Florida Dental Association House of Delegates, and currently serves as president of the Central Florida District Dental Association.
Dr. Pruett enjoys playing golf, flag football, basketball, wake boarding, snow skiing, flying and most importantly spending time with his wife Heather, son Kycen, daughter Sadie Grace, and dog Beau.
